Abhishek Bachchan began shooting for his next film “The Big Bull” on September 16 (Monday). The actor shared a snap of the flim’s clapboard on his Instagram account and shared the news. Sharing the ‘Mahurat shot’ clapboard picture, he wrote, “Here we go! A new journey, a new beginning. Need your best wishes. @ajaydevgn #KookieGulati @anandpandit.”
The movie is directed by Kookie Gulati and produced by Ajay Devgn. Kookie has already worked as the associate director of some films before like Ishq Vishk and Fida. She was also behind the Vive-Oberoi starrer-film Prince and another movie Pyare Mohan. The Big Bull will be the third movie directed by her.
The Big Bull is based on India during the 1990s and 2000s. It showcases true events that changed India’s financial set-up altogether. Illeana D’Cruz is meant to be the female lead of the movie but she is not paired with Abhishek.
Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn have previously worked together in 2012, in Rohit Shetty’s directed movie “Bol Bachchan”
Abhishek Bachchan’s last movie was with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal “Manmarziyan’ which was directed by Anurag Kashyap. He is all set to make his digital debut as well on Amazon Prime with a sequel of an already hit series “Breathe”. Mayank Sharma is the director of “Breathe”.
Abhishek will also be a part of Anurag Basu’s new project with Sanya Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao. The movie is speculated to be a bit like Basu’s previous 2007 hit Life in a..metro.
