Twenty eight years after Khalnayak’s release, Sanjay Dutt has confirmed that there will be a sequel to the movie. He said that the project is in pipeline to remake the 1993 hit film. The actor was last seen in the latest political drama Prassthanam.
He revealed that Tiger Shroff has been approached by his production house to play a key role in Khalnayak’s sequel.
Khalnayak, was directed by Subhash Ghai and had Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit as leads along with Jackie Shroff. While Jackie was a policeman, Dutt was the Khalnayak (terrorist named Ballu) and Madhuri played the character of Ganga. The film was quite a success in its time.
