The first look of the much-awaited movie The Sky is Pink, starring Priyanka and Farhan is out. The film is directed by Shonali Bose and also has Rohit Saraf and Zaira Wasim in the key roles.
The film will release worldwide on 11th October 2019, which portrays the love story of a couple through their daughter who is diagnosed with a terminal illness. The Sky is Pink, directed by Shonali Bose who also expressed her happiness and said, “This movie is deeply personal and an incredibly special one for me. Sharing this extraordinary story with you all and giving an insight into what it means to be a family. I am honoured that after Amu and Margarita With the Straw, this will be my third film to premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and I cannot wait for you all to watch it.”
Becoming the face of Hollywood as well, Priyanka Chopra has not forgotten her roots and said she connected with the film instantly, as she heard the movie and gave no second thought to perform in it. The Sky is Pink ensembles the cast – Priyanka Chopra as Aditi, Farhan Akhtar as Niren and Zaira Wasim as Aisha, daughter of Aditi and Niren.
TIFF is one of the largest and most prestigious film festivals in the whole world selects only 20 films for the Gala Presentation from around the world each year. ‘The Sky Is Pink’ became the only Asian film to be selected for its Gala Presentation.
This 37-year-old actress who will be seen playing the role of Aditi Chaudhary has also co-produced the film with Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapoor. She is immensely overwhelmed and feels proud of the project.
