Raveena Tandon is one of the most versatile actors and has proved that with her work through out the years. She is outspoken and uninhibited and an endearing person. In a recent interview Raveena opened up about her past work and how she made sure that she didn’t get stereotyped in the industry.
In the interview Raveena revealed she was offered the role of Malaika Arora in the song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ but she decided to pass on the offer. Raveena has a very strong reason too for passing up the part. She said that when she was offered the dance part, she was just making a comeback and had just done the song ‘Sheher ki Ladki’ and didn’t want to do another item song. She said that she didn’t want to get stereotyped and thus decided to not do the song. She said, “…it was suddenly this whole thing about item songs and I was trying to re-establish myself.”
Raveena will be next seen in the Kannada movie ‘K.G.F. Chapter 2.’ This historical drama is a sequel to the movie ‘K.G.F. Chapter 1’ which was a whooping success on the box office and earned rave reviews too. The movie also stars Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt and Ramachandra Raju. Raveena was also part of the Chapter 1 which was released in 2018. ‘K.G.F. Chapter 2’ is scheduled to release on 23rd October 2020 and is directed by Prashanth Neel who also directed Chapter 1.
